Clinical Value of Blepharosphincterectomy Combined with Shortening of Orbicularis Oculi and Reduction of Lower Eyelid Retractor in the Treatment of Senile Lower Eyelid Entropion
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of plan of blepharosphincterectomy combined with shortening of orbicularis oculi and reduction of lower eyelid retractor in the treatment of senile lower eyelid entropion.Method:Clinical data of 90 patients with senile lower eyelid entropion treated in No.2 Hospital of Nanping City from January to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into control group(n=45,underwent blepharosphincterectomy)and study group(n=45,underwent blepharosphincterectomy combined with shortening of orbicularis oculi and reduction of lower eyelid retractor)according to different treatment plans.Perioperative indexes, postoperative recovery indexes, postoperative complications, recurrence and eye aesthetics were compared between the two groups.Result:There was no significant difference in intraoperative blood loss between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the operation time in the study group was longer, the width of the resected skin was smaller, the height of the palpebral fissure after surgery was higher, and the exposure rate of the lacrimal mons was higher and the orientation of the eyelashes was larger(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the total effective rate of treatment in the study group was higher, the recurrence was lower, and all postoperative eye aesthetics scores were higher(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the incidences of postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:In the treatment of senile lower eyelid entropion, the combination of blepharosphincterectomy and shortening of orbicularis oculi and reduction of lower eyelid retractor is safe and effective, which can actively improve the disease symptoms, reduce the recurrence rate, and improve the eye aesthetics.
