Effect of Bushen Huoxue Decoction Combined with Low Energy Shock Wave on Erectile Dysfunction of Kidney Deficiency and Blood Stasis Type
Objective:To explore the effect of Bushen Huoxue Decoction combined with low energy shock wave therapy on erectile dysfunction of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type.Method:A randomized controlled trial was conducted.According to the random number table method,86 patients with erectile dysfunction of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type admitted to Nanchang Reproductive Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were divided into control group and observation group,with 43 cases in each group.The control group was treated with low energy shock wave on the basis of conventional treatment,and the observation group was treated with Bushen Huoxue Decoction on the basis of the control group,continuous treatment for 6 weeks.The erectile function,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,sex hormone levels,and vascular endothelial function were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Result:After treatment,the international index of erectile function-5(IIEF-5)scores and erectile hardness scale(EHS)scores of both groups increased compared to those before treatment,while the TCM syndrome scores of both groups were decreased compared to those before treatment,the IIEF-5 and EHS scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,while the TCM syndrome scores were lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of endothelin-1(ET-1)in both groups were decreased compared to those before treatment,while the levels of luteinizing hormone(LH),testosterone(T),and nitric oxide(NO)were increased compared to those before treatment,the level of ET-1 in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,while the levels of LH,T and NO were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Bushen Huoxue Decoction and low energy shock wave has a significant therapeutic effect on erectile dysfunction of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type.It can reduce the degree of erectile dysfunction,enhance erection hardness,and also improve sexual hormone levels and vascular endothelial function.
