Analysis of the Effect and Safety of Endoscopic Mucosal Resection and High-frequency Electric Coagulation and Electrocision in the Treatment of Giant Polyps of Colon
Objective:To investigate the effect of endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR)in the treatment of giant polyps of colon.Method:A total of 110 patients with giant polyps of colon who were treated in Dalian NO.3 People's Hospital from May 2019 to May 2022 were selected and divided into the control group(received high-frequency electric coagulation and electrocision)and the study group(received EMR)by random number table method, with 55 cases in each group.Clinical indexes(operative time, hospital stay),clinical efficacy, stress response[epinephrine(E),norepinephrine(NE),cortisol(Cor)],inflammatory reaction[interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-12(IL-12),interleukin-1β(IL-1β)]and complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The operation time and hospital stay of the study group were shorter than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The clinical efficacy of the study group was better than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with those before operation,E,NE and Cor were increased in both groups after operation, and the above indexes in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with those before operation,IL-6,IL-12 and IL-1β were increased in both groups after operation, the above indexes in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications of the study group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:EMR treatment for patients with giant polyps of colon can improve clinical efficacy, reduce inflammation reaction and stress response, reduce complications and promote rehabilitation.
