Application Progress of Imaging Examination in the Quantitative Analysis of Pleural Effusion
Pleural effusion is a common clinical symptom characterized by accumulation of pathological fluid in the pleural cavity, which can be caused by diseases of multiple systems and organs. The quantification of pleural effusion is of great significance to the management of patients and can directly relate to the determination of the treatment plan and the evaluation of the curative effect. At present, the diagnosis of pleural effusion is mainly based on imaging techniques.Imaging examination can not only accurately show the presence or absence of pleural effusion, but also quantitatively estimate pleural effusion. In addition, accurate quantitative analysis of pleural effusion can provide a reliable image basis for the selection of clinical treatment protocol. This article aims to review the current application progress of imaging examination in quantitative analysis of pleural effusion.
