Analysis of Diagnostic Value of Color Doppler Echocardiography for Calcified Valvular Heart Disease in the Elderly
Objective:To investigate the application value of color Doppler echocardiography in the diagnosis of calcified valvular heart disease(CVHD)in the elderly, and to evaluate its influence on cardiac function, heart valve involvement and hemodynamic changes.Method:A total of 53 elderly patients with CVHD admitted to Ganzhou Municipal Hospital from January 2022 to March 2024 were selected as the study group, and 50 healthy volunteers who underwent physical examinations were selected as the control group during the same period. All subjects underwent color Doppler echocardiography, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVDd),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left atrial diameter(LAD)and other cardiac function indicators were measured, and the involvement of heart valves and hemodynamic changes were evaluated.Result:LVDd and LAD in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group, while LVEF was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The aortic valve thickness and mitral valve thickness in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the proportion of strong aortic echo, limited aortic motion, strong mitral echo, mitral thickening and tendinous cord were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).The proportion of mild, moderate and severe aortic regurgitation and mitral regurgitation in the study group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion:Color Doppler echocardiography is of great value in the diagnosis of CVHD in the elderly. It can effectively evaluate cardiac function, heart valve involvement and hemodynamic changes, guide clinical treatment, and improve the quality of life of patients.
