Effects of Hydroxyethyl Starch Therapy on Nutritional Indexes and Recovery of Intestinal Mucosal Function in Patients with Early Gastrointestinal Cancer after ESD
Objective:To analyze the effects of Hydroxyethyl Starch treatment after endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)on nutritional indexes and intestinal mucosal function in patients with early gastrointestinal cancer.Method:A total of 90 patients with early gastrointestinal cancer admitted to Shangrao People's Hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected.According to random number table method, the patients were divided into control group(ESD treatment)and combined group(Hydroxyethyl Starch treatment on the basis of control group),with 45 cases in each group.Nutritional indexes, gastrointestinal function[serum prealbumin(PA),albumin(ALB),hemoglobin(Hb),serum total protein(TP)],intestinal mucosal barrier function[vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP),motilin(MTL),gastrin(GAS),D-lactic acid and diamine oxidase],inflammatory factors[C reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]before and 1 week after operation, incidence of complications and recurrence rate of the two groups were compared.Result:At 1 week after operation,PA,ALB,Hb and TP in the combined group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 1 week after operation,VIP,MTL and GAS in combined group were significantly higher than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 1 week after operation, the levels of D-lactic acid and diamine oxidase in combined group were higher than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 1 week after operation,CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α in combined group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the incidence of perforation and local recurrence between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of hemorrhage in combined group was 6.67%,which was significantly lower than 22.22%in control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment effect of Hydroxyethyl Starch after ESD in patients with early gastrointestinal cancer is significant, which can significantly improve the nutritional status of patients and improve the repair ability of intestinal mucosa.
