Effectiveness and Safety of Endoscopic Papillary Sphincter Sphincterotomy Combined with Balloon Dilatation in the Treatment of Choledocholith over 10 mm
Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of endoscopic papillary sphincter sphincterotomy combined with balloon dilation in the treatment of choledocholith over 10 mm.Method:The clinical data of 132 patients with choledocholith over 10 mm admitted to Yichun Second People's Hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into balloon group(n=86)and non-balloon group(n=46)according to whether balloon dilation was used during the operation. The clinical index, complication rate and biochemical indexes before and after operation were compared between the two groups.Result:The success rates of total stone removal and one-time stone removal in balloon group were higher than those in non-balloon group, and the time of stone removal was shorter than that in non-balloon group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).After operation, alanine transaminase(ALT),total bilirubin, serum amylase in balloon group were lower than those in non-balloon group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Endoscopic papillary sphincter sphincterotomy combined with balloon dilation for the treatment of choledocholith over 10 mm has a high success rate and short operation time, which can improve the biochemical indexes of patients and has a high safety.
