Study on the Influence of Heat-reinforcing Needling Manipulation Combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction for Motor Function and Living Ability of Patients with Hypermyotonia during the Recovery Period of Stroke
Objective:To investigate the influence of heat-reinforcing needling manipulation combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction for motor function and living ability of patients with hypermyotonia during the recovery period of stroke.Method:A total of 80 patients with hypermyotonia during the recovery period of stroke in Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Jiuquan City from January 2022 to June 2023 were divided two groups according to the random number table.40 cases of control group were treated with routine acupuncture therapy combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction,40 cases of observation group were treated with heat-reinforcing needling manipulation combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction.Then the total effective rates for hypermyotonia,the muscular tension situation(modified Ashworth classification),motor function[Berg balance scale(BBS score),Holden walking ability grades and gait parameters(step speed and stride)]and living ability(modified Barthel index)before and after the treatment of two groups were compared.Result:The total effective rate for hypermyotonia of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),the differences of modified Ashworth classification,BBS score,Holden walking ability grades,gait parameters and modified Barthel index of two groups before the treatment were not statistically significant(P>0.05),the modified Ashworth classification and Holden walking ability grades of observation group at 3rd course of treatment were significantly better than those of control group,the BBS score and gait parameters and modified Barthel index were significantly higher than those of control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical effect of heat-reinforcing needling manipulation combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction in patients with hypermyotonia during the recovery period of stroke is better,and it can significantly improve the motor function and living ability of patients,so its application value in patients with hypermyotonia during the recovery period of stroke is higher.
