Effect of Intermediate Frequency Electrotherapy on Affective Disorders in Patients with Schizophrenia
Objective:To observe the effect of intermediate frequency electrotherapy on affective disorders in patients with schizophrenia.Method:A retrospective study was conducted among 80 patients with schizophrenia who were admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Yichun City from April to August 2023.They were divided into control group(39 patients treated with Olanzapine Tablets)and observation group(41 patients treated with intermediate frequency electrotherapy and Olanzapine Tablets). The severity of affective symptoms, severity of mental symptoms, clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were observed.Result:After 1,2,3 and 4 courses of treatment, the Bech-Rafaelsen mania scale(BRMS)scores,Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)scores and Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores for different items in positive and negative syndrome scale(PANSS)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Clinical total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence rates of adverse reactions in the two groups were close, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combined treatment of intermediate frequency electrotherapy and Olanzapine Tablets can significantly improve affective disorders and mental symptoms in patients with schizophrenia, and improve the therapeutic effect, with high safety.
