Application Value of Fecal Calprotectin Detection in Differential Diagnosis of Allergic Enteritis in Infants
Objective:To investigate the application value of fecal calprotectin detection in differential diagnosis of allergic enteritis in infants.Method:A total of 74 infants with allergic enteritis who were treated in Ganzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from June 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the observation group, and 70 infants with bacterial enteritis who were treated in our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.Fecal samples of two groups were collected and the level of fecal calprotectin was detected by double anti-sandwich method.Peripheral venous blood of the two groups was collected, and supernatant was obtained by centrifugation.White blood cell count(WBC)level was detected by automatic blood analyzer, and C reactive protein(CRP)level was detected by specific protein analyzer. The levels of fecal calprotectin,CRP and WBC were compared between the two groups, receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were drawn, and the area under the curve(AUC),sensitivity and specificity of fecal calprotectin,CRP and WBC in the diagnosis of allergic enteritis were analyzed.Result:The levels of fecal calprotectin,CRP and WBC in observation group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the AUC,sensitivity of fecal calprotectin in the diagnosis of allergic enteritis were higher than those of CRP and WBC diagnosis alone. Conclusion:The levels of fecal calprotectin,CRP and WBC in infants with allergic enteritis are lower than those in infants with bacterial enteritis. The use of fecal calprotectin detection in the differential diagnosis of allergic enteritis in infants is of high value, which can effectively predict the occurrence of allergic enteritis in infants, and provide references for early clinical intervention.
