Clinical Efficacy of Awake Prone Ventilation Combined with High-flow Oxygen Therapy in Patients with Mild to Moderate ARDS
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of awake prone ventilation combined with high-flow oxygen therapy in patients with mild to moderate acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).Method:A total of 80 patients with mild to moderate ARDS admitted to Shangrao People's Hospital from July 2023 to May 2024 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into control group and observation group according to treatment methods, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given high-flow oxygen therapy. The observation group was given awake prone ventilation combined with high-flow oxygen therapy. The inhaled oxygen concentration (FiO2),oxygenation index (PaO2/FiO2),treatment compliance, tracheal intubation rate,ICU stay and 28-day mortality were compared between the two groups.Result:At the 3rd and 7 th day of treatment, the FiO2 of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, while the PaO2/FiO2 were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the total compliance of observation group was higher than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no difference in 28-day mortality between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).The tracheal intubation rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and ICU stay time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Awake prone position ventilation combined with high-flow oxygen therapy has a good clinical effect in mild to moderate ARDS patients, which can improve the body's PaO2/FiO2 and FiO2,and reduce the rate of tracheal intubation, shorten the length of ICU stay.
