Clinical Efficacy of Fluconazole Injection Combined with Miconazole Nitrate Cream in the Treatment of Suppurative Otitis Media with Fungal Infection
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Fluconazole Injection combined with Miconazole Nitrate Cream on suppurative otitis media (SOM) with fungal infection (FI).Method:A total of 78 patients with SOM with FI from August 2021 to July 2023 who were admitted in the Second People's Hospital of Liaocheng were selected and divided into the study group (39 cases) and the control group (39 cases) by random number table method. Both groups were washed with Levofloxacin Ear Drops to the external ear canal. The control group was treated with Miconazole Nitrate Cream on this basis, while the study group was treated with Fluconazole Injection combined with Miconazole Nitrate Cream. The clinical efficacy, time of symptom disappearance, hearing function, inflammatory factors, recurrence rate and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate was 74.36% (29/39) in the control group and 92.31% (36/39) in the study group, which was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The disappearance time of symptoms (earache, tympanic membrane congestion, pus, fever) in the study group was earlier than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the air conduction threshold and bone conduction threshold in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and those of the study group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment,interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) levels in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and those of the study group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The recurrence rate of the study group was 2.78% (1/36),which was lower than 27.59% (8/29) of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 10.26% (4/39) in the control group and 5.13% (2/39) in the study group, there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of Fluconazole Injection combined with Miconazole Nitrate Cream in patients with SOM with FI can improve clinical efficacy, shorten the time of symptom disappearance, improve hearing function, inflammatory reaction, reduce the risk of recurrence, and with high safety.
