Comparison of the Efficacy of Subcutaneous Insulin Pump and Multiple Subcutaneous Insulin Injection in the Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of subcutaneous insulin pump and multiple subcutaneous Insulin injection on type 2 diabetes mellitus.Method:A total of 80 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Department of Endocrinology of Xinyu People's Hospital from May 2022 to April 2023 were selected and randomly divided into two groups,40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with long-acting Insulin+rapid-acting Insulin injection multiple times a day,and the study group was treated with subcutaneous insulin pump. The blood glucose control, duration of daily average hyperglycemia, range of daily average blood glucose fluctuation before treatment and 6 days after treatment, and treatment (incidence of hypoglycemia, insulin dosage, and time to control blood glucose to standard) were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment, the blood glucose level and average value of the two groups were significantly reduced before and 2 h after meals, before bedtime, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).However,there were no significant differences between the two groups before and after each meal,2 h after each meal, before going to bed, blood glucose level and the mean value (P>0.05).Before treatment, the average daily hyperglycemia duration and average daily blood sugar fluctuation range of the two groups had no statistical significance (P>0.05).After treatment, the average daily hyperglycemia duration and average daily blood sugar fluctuation range of the study group were lower than those of the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05).After treatment, the incidence of hypoglycemia in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the daily insulin dosage was less than that in the control group, and the time to reach the blood glucose standard was earlier than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Both methods can effectively reduce the blood glucose level in diabetic patients, but compared with multiple subcutaneous Insulin injections, subcutaneous insulin pump treatment can reduce the amount of Insulin, shorten the time of blood glucose compliance, reduce the incidence of hypoglycemia and better control blood glucose fluctuations.
