Efficacy of Piracetam Combined with Butylphthalide Double Sequential Therapy for Ischemic Stroke with Cognitive Impairment
Objective:To explore and analyze the effect of Piracetam combined with Butylphthalide double sequential therapy on ischemic stroke with cognitive impairment.Method:Ninety-two patients with ischemic stroke complicated with cognitive impairment admitted to the Department of Neurology, the Second Hospital of Longyan from February 2022 to September 2023 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Butylphthalide, and the observation group was treated with Piracetam combined with Butylphthalide double sequential therapy. The clinical efficacy, national institutes of health stroke scale (NIHSS) scores and Barthel index (BI) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group (P<0.05).After treatment,NIHSS score of observation group was lower than that of control group,BI was higher than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no significant difference in the incidences of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:Piracetam combined with Butylphthalein double sequential therapy in the treatment of ischemic stroke with cognitive impairment can obtain outstanding clinical efficacy, and the neurological impairment of patients has been significantly improved, and their daily living ability will also be improved, with high safety.
