Clinical Study on Minimally Invasive Surgery with Elastic Intramedullary Nails Combined with Three-stage Differentiation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Oral Administration for the Treatment of Long Bone Fractures in Children
Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of a combined treatment plan of minimally invasive surgery with elastic intramedullary nails and three-stage differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine oral administration for children with long bone fractures (LBFC). Method:A total of 60 children with LBFC admitted to the Pediatric Orthopedics Department Ⅱ in Nanchang Hongdu Hospital of TCM from April to October 2023 were prospectively selected and divided into observation group and surgical group according to random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The surgical group underwent routine minimally invasive surgery with elastic intramedullary nails, while the observation group was additionally given three-stage differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine for oral administration on the basis of the surgical group. The surgical conditions, postoperative healing, complications and therapeutic effect of the two groups were compared. Result:The amount of blood loss, operation time and hospital stay in the observation group were better than those in the surgical group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The alignment of fractures in both groups of children were good, and bone healing occurred in both groups. The incidence of complications, swelling resolution time, callus formation time, clinical fracture healing time, and bone healing time in the observation group were better than those in the surgical group, the excellent and good rate of the observation group was higher than that of the surgical group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:The combination of minimally invasive surgery with elastic intramedullary nails and three-stage differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine oral administration for the treatment of LBFC has a good effect, can accelerate the healing time of fractures in children, and reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications.
