Clinical Observation of Lugen in Water Combined with "Chilong Jiaohai " in Alleviating the Thirst Sensation of Parturients after Cesarean Section
Objective:To explore the effect of Lugen in water combined with "Chilong Jiaohai" in alleviating the thirst sensation of parturients after cesarean section. Method:A total of 82 parturients who experienced thirst during no drinking and fasting after cesarean section with combined spinal and epidural anesthesia in Ganzhou Women and Children's Health Care Hospital from June 2023 to February 2024 were randomly divided into two groups, with 41 cases in each group. The observation group was given Lugen in water combined with "Chilong Jiaohai" to relieve thirst sensation, and the control group was given traditional method to relieve thirst sensation. The intervention effect, degree of thirst, unstimulated whole saliva (UWS) and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Result:Before intervention, there were no significant differences in visual analogue scale (VAS) score and UWS between the two groups (P>0.05). The total effective rate and total satisfaction rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). After 3 days of intervention,VAS score of observation group was lower than that of control group,UWS was higher than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:Lugen in water combined with "Chilong Jiaohai" has a good effect on alleviating the thirst sensation of parturients after cesarean section, which can reduce VAS score and improve UWS and satisfaction.
