Analysis of the Effect of Letrozole Combined with Metformin in the Treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Complicated with Infertility Patients
Objective:To investigate the effect of Letrozole combined with Metformin in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) complicated with infertility patients. Method:A total of 120 patients with PCOS complicated with infertility admitted to the First Hospital of Nanping City from March 2020 to March 2023 were selected and divided into two groups according to envelope extraction method, including control group (n=59,Letrozole treatment) and observation group (n=61,Letrozole combined with Metformin treatment) were treated for 3 consecutive menstrual cycles. The outcome of follicle development, endometrial receptivity and serum hypoxia-inducing faction-1α (HIF-1α) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels were compared between the two groups, and the incidence of adverse reactions in both groups were recorded. Result:The follicle diameter, the number of dominant follicles and the rate of natural pregnancy of the observation group were higher than those of control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the endometrial thickness in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, but the mean ovarian volume, uterine artery pulsatility index (PI),uterine artery resistance index (RI),HIF-1α and VEGF levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion:Letrozole combined with Metformin in the treatment of PCOS complicated with infertility can improve the natural pregnancy rate, endometrial receptivity and related factors, and it is safe.
