Research Progress on High Mobility Group Protein B1 in Prostate Cancer
High mobility group protein B1 (HMGB1) is believed to play an important role in prostate cancer. HMGB1 is involved in cell proliferation, angiogenesis and metastasis during tumor progression. In addition,HMGB1 has been shown to play both intracellular and extracellular functions, activating key carcinogenic signaling pathways. In addition,it is strongly associated with inflammation, oxidative stress, and androgen receptor activation in cancer. This article focuses on the role of HMGB1 in the development and progression of prostate cancer, and emphasizes the potential of HMGB1 as a key therapeutic target for prostate cancer.
