Clinical Observation on the Treatment of Postherpetic Neuralgia of Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis Type by "LONGHUJIAOZHAN" Acupuncture at Pressing Sensitive Acupoint
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of "LONGHUJIAOZHAN" acupuncture at pressing sensitive acupoint in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type.Method:A total of 74 cases of PHN admitted to the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion,Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to August 2023 were selected and divided into two groups by random number table,37 cases in each group.The control group was treated with routine western medicine,and the observation group added "LONGHUJIAOZHAN" acupuncture at pressing sensitive acupoint for 4 weeks.The clinical efficacy,pain score,serum neurotransmitter level,inflammation level,quality of life,traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) symptom score and adverse reactions in two groups were compared.Result:Compared with control group,the overall effective rate in observation group was higher,while the pain score,substance P (SP),neurokinin-1 (NK-1) and serotonin (5-HT) in observation group were lower after treatment,with significant differences (P<0.05);after treatment,compared with control group,the levels of inflammation and the TCM symptom scores in observation group were lower,the scores of quality of life in observation group were higher,with significant differences (P<0.05);no obvious adverse reactions occurred in both groups.Conclusion:"LONGHUJIAOZHAN" acupuncture at pressing sensitive acupoint can improve the therapeutic effect of PHN patients,reduce inflammation levels,accelerate pain relief,and enhance quality of life,which is safe and reliable.
