Effect of Nasal High Flow Warming Humidification Oxygen Inhalation in the Treatment of Patients with Severe Pneumonia
Objective:To explore the curative effect of nasal high flow warming humidification oxygen inhalation in patients with severe pneumonia.Method:A total of 110 patients with severe pneumonia admitted to Central Hospital of Xinyu Iron & Steel Group Co.,LTD.from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected and divided into control group (n=55) and observation group (n=55) according to random number table method. The control group received conventional treatment combined with non-invasive mechanical ventilation, and the observation group received conventional treatment combined with nasal high flow warming humidification oxygen inhalation. The total effective rate, complication rate, serum indexes[serum amyloid A (SAA) and procalcitonin (PCT)],oxygen metabolism indexes[oxygen supply index (DO2I),oxygen consumption index (VO2I) and oxygen uptake rate (O2ER)]and pulmonary surfactant[pulmonary surfactant A (SP-A) and pulmonary surfactant-D (SP-D)]between the two groups were compared.Result:The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the complication rate was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in serum indexes, oxygen metabolism indexes and pulmonary surfactant between two groups (P>0.05).After treatment,SAA and PCT in both groups were lower than those before treatment,DO2I,VO2I,O2ER,SP-A and SP-D were higher than those before treatment, and SAA and PCT in observation group were lower than those in control group,DO2I,VO2I,O2ER,SP-A and SP-D were higher than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of nasal high flow warming humidification oxygen inhalation is better in patients with severe pneumonia, and it can significantly improve the SAA,PCT,oxygen metabolism indexes and pulmonary surfactant.
