Observation on Therapeutic Effect of Acupuncture Combined with Balanced Cupping on Lumbar Disc Herniation with Cold-dampness Obstruction
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with balanced cupping in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation with cold-dampness obstruction.Method:Sixty patients with cold-dampness obstruction type lumbar disc herniation admitted to the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department of Renhuai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from February to September 2023 were selected. The patients were divided into a treatment group of 30 cases and a control group of 30 cases using a double-blind lottery grouping method. The control group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion combined with ordinary cupping, and the treatment group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion combined with balanced cupping. The course of treatment was 2 weeks. The prognosis of the two groups was compared and analyzed.Result:After treatment, the scores of lower back pain, acid distension, and limb cold in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05).The pain score of the treatment group after treatment was lower than that of the control group, and the lumbar spine function score was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).The curvature, inclination and height of the lumbar intervertebral space in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.05).After 30 days of follow-up,the psychological and physiological health scores on the quality of life scale in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with balanced cupping has an ideal overall effect in treating lumbar disc herniation with cold-dampness obstruction, which can effectively improve the symptoms and quality of life of patients.
