Demand research and framework proposal of pre-service report writing Al training platform for medical imaging residents
Objective To investigate the attitudes and needs of medical imaging instructors and residents on the pre-service report writing training platform based on artificial intelligence(AI),and preliminarily propose the framework of AI training platform. Methods WJX,a WeChat mini program, was used to design electronic questionnaires for teachers and residents.A survey was conducted among radiologists with teaching tasks and residents in Xuanwu Hospital,Capital Medical University, and their views and attitudes on the pre-service report writing AI training platform were collected. Results A total of 40 teachers and 32 residents answered the questionnaire. The vast majority of residents express high pressure when entering the clinical practice stage, mainly including tight time and heavy tasks, concerns about report writing errors, and high academic and employment pressure. Most teachers and residents have no experience in using AI in teaching practice, and only have a little understanding of AI assisted teaching.Despite a lack of contact, they are more interested in the application of the pre-service report writing AI training platform.82.5%of teachers and 84.4%of residents hope to practice writing diagnostic reports on the AI teaching platform first, and unanimously believe that this method is not limited by time and space, but more flexible and convenient;Standardized practice writing diagnostic reports in advance can provide a transitional and adaptive stage for residents; It can provide timely feedback and can be practiced repeatedly to address weaknesses.82.5%of teachers believe that AI assisted teaching can improve the quality and efficiency of residents training, and 75%of teachers believe that it can improve residents'confidence, and that of residents account for 53.1%and 50%,respectively.The difference between the teachers and residents is statistically significant(P<0.05).They mainly concerned that AI assisted teaching may lack communication and interaction between students and teachers, resulting in poor interactivity and inability to answer questions in real-time;In addition,AI teaching platforms may be too mechanical to flexibly understand the content of diagnostic reports written by students, and the different words to express the same meaning may result in misjudgment. Conclusion Most teachers and residents have a positive attitude towards pre-service report writing AI training platform, and incorporating AI into medical imaging residents training may provide new ways to improve learning efficiency.
