Application of virtual simulation technology combined with PBL teaching method in standardized resident training of echocardiography
Objective To explore the application effect of virtual simulation technology combined with problem-based learning(PBL)in the standardized training of residents in the field of echocardiography. Methods 59 resident physicians who participated in standardized training were divided into the experimental group(n=31)and the control group(n=28),and were taught using virtual simulation technology combined with PBL teaching method and traditional teaching method, respectively. The teaching effectiveness is evaluated through theoretical assessment, clinical thinking assessment, skill assessment, and satisfaction questionnaire survey. Results The experimental group significantly outperformed the control group in evaluating theoretical knowledge, clinical thinking, and operational skills,as well as teaching satisfaction. Conclusion The combination of virtual simulation technology and PBL teaching method for standardized training of resident physicians in the field of cardiac ultrasound has obvious advantages, which can improve teaching quality and effectiveness, stimulate students'initiative and creativity in learning, and is worth further promotion.
