Research on the construction and application of CDIO mode based on maker education concept:Taking the skill training of emergency intern nursing students as an example
Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate(CDIO)mode is a systematic engineering education mode.Teachers can design flexible training methods combining theory with practice from different professional perspectives.Based on this,the article constructs a CDIO mode based on the concept of maker education,supported by the theory of maker education.Afterwards,77 Nursing interns from a Grade—A tertiary hospital in Qingdao were selected and divided into the control group(n=38)and the experimental group(n=39),with"teacher demonstration+student practice"teaching mode and emergency skills training teaching mode based on the CDIO mode of maker education concept adopted in the teaching of the two groups respectively.With relevant data collected,it was found that the difference of self-learning ability of the control group before and after the internship was(5.39±51.31),the difference in the scores of critical thinking ability was(4.08±104.18),the difference in the scores of creativity tendency level was(1.05±23.69),and the difference in the scores of general self-efficacy was(2.29±9.70).The difference in the scores of self-learning ability of the experimental group was(32.69±15.63),and the difference in the scores of critical thinking ability was(59.77±32.16)The difference in scores of creativity tendency level is(22.31±7.55),and the difference in scores of general self-efficacy is(7.21±6.50).The difference of scores in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group.After the internship,the score of practical skills operation assessment in the experimental group(92.15±1.13)was higher than that in the control group(86.09±1.99)(P<0.001),thus,the application effect of this model in skill training for emergency internship nursing students was verified.
