Objective To explore the effect of center group pregnancy care on negative emotions and pregnancy outcomes of elderly primiparas. Methods Sixty elderly primiparas admitted to the obstetrics and gynecology outpatient department of a tertiary general hospital in Beijing in the first half of 2022 were selected and divided into an intervention group and a control group, each of 30,according to a random number table. Both groups were given routine pregnancy nursing, while the intervention group was additionally provided with central group pregnancy health care. The self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)were used to evaluate the anxiety and depression in the two groups before intervention and after delivery, respectively. Moreover, the adverse pregnancy outcomes and vaginal delivery rate were observed. Results After the intervention, the SAS and SDS scores of the intervention group were significantly lower than that of the control group(t=2.830,P=0.006;t=5.315,P<0.001),and the rate of natural delivery was significantly higher than the latter(χ2=5.711,P=0.017).There was no significant difference in the incidence of fetal distress, neonatal asphyxia and postpartum hemorrhage between the two groups(χ2 =5.868,P=0.167;χ2 =3.086,P=0.283;χ2 =2.576,P=0.152).Conclusion The center group pregnancy care can effectively improve the rate of natural labor of elderly primiparas, alleviate their anxiety and depression. Therefore, such care is worth popularizing in the clinical practice.
