Objective To compile a questionnaire on safe injection knowledge-attitude-practice(KAP)of nursing staff,and to test its reliability and validity.Methods Based on the KAP theory,the initial version of the questionnaire was formed after literature review,semi-structured interview,expert letter consultation and pre-investigation.Then 589 nurses from affitiated hospital of Beihua University were surveyed using the questionnaire to test its reliability and validity.Results The questionnaire contained 3 primary dimensions,and 60 items.The validity of the questionnaire was 0.930,while the content validity of each item was 0.880～1.000.Three common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis,with the cumulative variance contribution rate of 64.55％.The total Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.973,the broken half reliability was 0.879,and the retest reliability was 0.977.Conclusion The questionnaire has good reliability and validity,and can be used as a tool to investigate the knowledge,attitude and behavior level of safe injection of clinical nurses in China.
