Objective To explore the effect of internet plus based continuous care on the growth and development of extremely premature infants after discharge.Methods Totally extremely premature infants in the department of neonatology of Luohu district people's hospital between August 2022 and February 2023 were selected.According to the order of admission,30 cases of extremely premature infants admitted from August to November 2022 were used as the control group,and 30 cases of extremely premature infants admitted from December 2022 to February 2023 were used as the observation group.Both groups received routine follow-up,while the observation group was additionally provided with internet plus continuous nursing.The growth and development of children,the mastery of caregivers'nursing knowledge and skills for premature infants,and the changes of caregivers'parenting sense of competence(PSOC)were compared between the two groups.Results After the intervention,the body length,body weight and head circumference of the observation group were significantly higher than that of the control group(t=2.352,P=0.022;t=2.900,P=0.005;t=2.044,P=0.045).Moreover,the knowledge and skills of preterm infants care of the observation group were significantly better than that of the control group(t=2.815,P=0.006),with significantly higher PSOC than the latter group(t=5.554,P＜0.001).Conclusion The continuous care based on internet plus can effectively improve the cognition and self-efficacy of parents of extremely preterm infants,and promote their growth and development after discharge.
