Objective To systematically assess the effect of mindfulness-based intervention on sleep quality in patients with mild cognitive impairment. Methods Randomized controlled studies on the effect of mindfulness-based intervention on sleep quality in patients with mild cognitive impairment were searched in such databases as VIP,Wanfang,CNKI,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,Cochrane Library,Embase,PubMed and Web of Science. Results A total of 8 articles and 525 patients were included.Meta-analysis results showed that mindfulness-based intervention could significantly improve the sleep quality of patients with mild cognitive impairment[SMD=-0.61,95%CI(-0.98,-0.23),P=0.001].The subgroup analysis demonstrated that the maximum effect could be achieved 60 to 90 minutes each time[SMD=-0.92,95%CI(-1.44,-0.41),P<0.001],once a week[SMD=-0.68,95%CI(-1.15,-0.22),P=0.004]for 6 to 8 weeks[SMD=-1.02,95%CI(-1.48,-0.56),P<0.001].Conclusion Mindfulness-based intervention can improve the sleep quality of patients with mild cognitive impairment. The recommended training program is one day per week,60 to 90 minutes each time for 6 to 8 weeks.
