The modified medium and long catheter is a commonly used intravenous infusion tool for severe patients in neurosurgery.This article reviewed the indications and contraindications of medium-length catheters,catheterization and catheter maintenance,catheter-related complications and corresponding intervention measures,to provide references for selecting appropriate intravenous infusion tools for severe neurosurgery patients.
