Objective To analyze the needs for health education among enterostomy patients using the Kano model,so as to provide evidences for clinical practice.Methods According to the Kano model,a health education demand questionnaire for enterostomy patients was designed,which included 5 first-level items of disease-related needs,professional nursing needs,life needs,psychological needs and health education access,as well as 33 second-level items.Between January 2023 and March 2024,323 enterostomy patients were selected from 4 grade-A tertiary hospitals in Mudanjiang City,and surveyed using the questionnaire.Results The needs for health education amony enterostomy patients include,7 and 11 items were necessary and expected ones,while another 12 and 3 items were attractive and undifferentiated ones accordingly.In the importance-satisfaction matrix,there were 10 items located in the advantage area,8 items in the to-improve area,3 items in one minor improvement area and 12 items in the reserved areas.Conclusion The Kano model can accurately and comprehensively identify the needs of enterostomy patients,and determine the priority order of nursing services according to the importance-satisfaction matrix,so as to increase their satisfaction to health education.
