Chronic skin disease management plays a pivotal role in maintaining public health and societal stability.There are several outstanding challenges in chronic skin disease management that require attention.Taking psoriasis as an example,this paper introduces the application progress of epidemiology in characterizing disease distribution,risk factors,treatment evaluation,predictive models,other aspects related to psoriasis and its comorbidities.Besides,this paper highlights the value of epidemiology and discusses the challenges in applying epidemiology to chronic skin disease management,aiming to provide new insights into the future development of chronic skin diseases management.
