Lignans Constituents from Callus Culture of Dysosma versipellis
OBJECTIVE To study the lignans constituents from callus culture of Dysosma versipellis (Hance) M.cheng ex Ying.METHODS The callus cultures of Dysosma versipellis were extracted with 95% ethanol, and then partitioned by chloroform and ethyl acetate. The constituents were isolated from the extract by silica gel column,Sephadex LH-20,preparative thin-layer chromatography and other chromatographic separation techniques.Their structures were elucidated by NMR,MS and other spectroscopic methods.RESULTS Nine lignans were isolated and identified as 4'-demethylpodophyllotoxone (1),β-peltatin (2),4'-demethylisopicropodophyllone (3),(+)-pinoresinol (4),α-peltatin (5),(-)-podophyllotoxin (6),NC 370 (7),4'-O-demethylpodophyllotoxin (8) and desoxypodophyllotoxin (9).CONCLUSION All the compounds except compound 6 are isolated from callus culture of Dysosma versipellis for the first time, and compounds 3,4,and 7 are for the first time obtained from the genus Dysosma.
