Objective To investigate the selection of solvents for injection in the Pharmacy Intravenous Admixture Services(PIVAS),and to improve the quality of finished infusion products.Methods The drug instructions of 109 kinds of injections in the PIVAS from the North China Medical and Health Group Xingtai General Hospital were collected,and the relevant literature was searched from databases such as CNKI,WanFang,and PubMed to analyze the effects of kinds and dosages of the solvent on the selection of solvent.Results Among the 109 kinds of injections,36 kinds of injections mention solvent dosage and range,while 22 kinds of injections limit the concentration of finished infusion products;56 kinds of injections have clear requirements on the type of solvent,among which 28,23,and 5 kinds of injections are designated to choose one,two,three,or more solvents respectively.Conclusion In clinical practice,the solvent for injection should be carefully selected to ensure the stability of the finished infusion,reduce adverse drug reactions,and ensure the therapeutic effect of intravenous medication.
