Effect of Xiaozheng Decoction Combined with Mifepristone on the Levels of Serum Tumor Markers and Tumor-Related Factors in Patients with Uterine Myoma
Objective To investigate the effect of Xiaozheng Decoction combined with mifepristone on the levels of serum tumor markers and tumor-related factors in patients with uterine myoma.Methods A total of 120 patients with uterine myoma admitted to the Beijing Tongren Hospital,Capital Medical University from December 2019 to December 2022 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group based on different treatment methods,with 60 cases in each group.The patients in the two groups were given Mifepristone Tablets orally,on this basis,the patients in the observation group were given Xiaozheng Decoction.Both groups were treated continuously for 14 weeks.Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 98.33%,which was significantly higher than 85.00%in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the uterine and myoma volumes in the two groups significantly decreased(P<0.05);the serum tumor markers[carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125),human epididymis protein 4(HE4)],estrogen,tumor-related factors[(vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),interferon-γ(IFN-γ),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)]levels significantly decreased(P<0.05);and the above indexes in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was similar to that in the control group(5.00%vs.10.00%,P>0.05).Conclusion Xiaozheng Decoction combined with mifepristone in the treatment of uterine myoma can decrease the levels of serum tumor markers and tumor-related factors in patients,and decrease the uterine myoma volume.
