Intervention Effect of Pharmaceutical Care Based on IAMEF Mode on Anti-Retroviral Therapy for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome
Objective To investigate the intervention effect of pharmaceutical care based on the IAMEF mode on the anti-retroviral therapy(ART)in patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS).Methods A total of 170 AIDS patients receiving ART in the infection and immunization clinic of the hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group by the random number table method, with 85 cases in each group. The patients in the two groups were given basic drug supply and routine pharmaceutical consultation service,on this basis, the patients in the observation group were given pharmaceutical care based on the information gathering-analysis and evaluation-make plan-execution plan-follow up(IAMEF)mode. Both groups were intervened for 10 months. The T lymphocyte subset levels, viral load, medication adherence and incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups before and after intervention were compared. Results Compared with those in the control group, the CD3+,CD4+ levels and CD4+/CD8+ after intervention in the observation group were significantly higher, and the viral load was significantly lower(P<0.05).After intervention, the proportion of patients with good medication adherence and the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale-8 score in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, the proportions of patients missing medication, taking medicine regularly and following the prescribed dose were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 17.65%,which was significantly lower than 47.06%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Pharmaceutical care based on the IAMEF mode can improve T lymphocyte levels, reduce viral load, improve medication adherence and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions in AIDS patients.
