Study on Inorganic Element Fingerprint and Safety Evaluation of Herba Rabdosiae Amethystoidis Produced by Suzhou
Objective To establish the fingerprint of 19 inorganic elements in Herba Rabdosiae Amethystoidis, and to evaluate the safety of five elements among them. Methods Thirteen batches of Herba Rabdosiae Amethystoidis produced by Suzhou were collected, the microwave digestion was used for pretreatment of samples, and the inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry was used to establish the fingerprint of 19 inorganic elements. The principal component analysis was used to evaluate the quality of the samples, the single-factor pollution index and Nemero composite index methods were used for safety evaluation of the arsenic, cadmium, mercury, lead and copper. Results The linear range of sodium, aluminum and iron was 0-5 000 ng/mL,that of boron, titanium, manganese, copper, zinc and barium was 0-500 ng/mL,that of chromium, nickel, molybdenum and lead was 0-50 ng/mL,that of arsenic, cadmium and mercury was 0-10 ng/mL,that of magnesium was 0-50 μg/mL,and that of potassium and calcium was 0-200 μg/mL(r>0.990 0).The limit of detection was in the range of 0.000 3 to 0.300 ng/mL.The RSDs of precision and repeatability tests were lower than 5.0%.The average recovery rate of the above 19 inorganic elements was in the range of 92.46%to 102.26%,with the RSDs in the range of 1.06%to 3.19%(n = 6).The similarity of fingerprints of inorganic elements in 13 batches of samples was greater than 0.920,the cumulative variance contribution rate of principal components one to seven was 92.871%.The samples were slightly polluted with five elements. Conclusion The overall potential risk of the above five elements is relatively low in the 13 batches of Herba Rabdosiae Amethystoidis produced by Suzhou.
