Clinical Study of Maiqili Decoction Combined with Acupoint Application in the Adjuvant Treatment of Elderly Chronic Pulmonary Heart Disease Complicated with Right Heart Failure
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Maiqili Decoction combined with acupoint application in the adjuvant treatment of elderly chronic pulmonary heart disease complicated with right heart failure.Methods A total of 102 elderly patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease and right heart failure admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to July 2022 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method,with 51 cases in each group.The patients in the two groups were given routine western medicine and acupoint application,on this basis,the patients in the observation group were given Maiqili Decoction.Both groups were treated for two courses with one week as a course.Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 94.12%,which was significantly higher than 76.47%in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes(cough,phlegm,chest tightness,shortness of breath,palpitations,fatigue,cyanosis of the lips),serum inflammatory indexes[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),interleukin-6(IL-6)]levels and myocardial injury indexes[amino-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),cardiac troponin T(cTnT)and creatine kinase-MB(CK-MB)]levels were significantly lower,the above TCM syndrome scores and myocardial injury indexes in the observation group were significantly lower(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was similar to that in the control group(7.84%vs.9.80%,P>0.05).Conclusion Maiqili Decoction combined with acupoint application can effectively improve the TCM syndrome of elderly patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease and right heart failure,and relieve their myocardial injury.
