Efficacy of Shangjuxu Acupoint Injection with Neostigmine in the Treatment of Postoperative Ileus in Elderly Patients with Colon Cancer
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Shangjuxu acupoint injection of neostigmine in the treatment of postoperative ileus(POI)in elderly patients with colon cancer.Methods A total of 60 elderly postoperative POI patients with colon cancer admitted to the Cangzhou Central Hospital from October 2020 to October 2022 were randomly divided into the control group and the study group by the random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.The patients in the control group were treated with intramuscular injection of neostigmine,while the patients in the study group were treated with Shangjuxu acupoint injection of neostigmine.Both groups were treated for 3 d.Results The total effective rate in the study group was 96.67%,which was significantly higher than 73.33%in the control group(P<0.05).The recovery time of bowel sounds,first defecation time,first exhaust time,eating time and hospital stay in the study group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).On the 1st day after surgery,the expression levels of interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the two groups significantly increased compared with those before the surgery(P<0.05).On the 3rd day after surgery,the scores of abdominal pain and abdominal distension,and the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in the two groups significantly decreased compared with those before surgery(P<0.05),and those in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).No adverse reactions occurred in the two groups.Conclusion Shangjuxu acupoint injection of neostigmine in the treatment of POI in elderly patients with colon cancer has good clinical efficacy and safety,which can alleviate clinical symptoms,reduce the expression level of inflammatory factors,and improve gastrointestinal function.
