Drug Utilization Evaluation of Sacubitril and Valsartan Based on AHP-TOPSIS Method
Objective To evaluate the rationality of the clinical use of sacubitril and valsartan. Methods Based on the drug instructions of Sacubitril Valsartan Sodium Tablets, referring to clinical guidelines, expert consensus and other literature data, the drug utilization evaluation criterion of sacubitril and valsartan was established. The analytic hierarchy process(AHP)was used to weight various indicators of the evaluation criterion, and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)method was used to evaluate the rationality of 153 medical records containing sacubitril and valsartan in the hospital from January to June 2022.Results Three primary indicators and ten secondary indicators were established. The top three secondary indicators with relatively high relative weights were indications, contraindications, drug dosage and dosage adjustment, with relative weight coefficients of 0.243 6,0.243 6,and 0.133 4,respectively.Among 153 medical records, the completely rational drug use, rational drug use, basically rational drug use,and irrational drug use accounted for 30.07%,7.84%,28.76%,and 33.33% respectively. The main manifestations of irrational drug use were inappropriate dosage adjustment(36.60% ),inappropriate indications(26.80% ),and irrational drug-drug interactions(14.38% ).Conclusion The drug utilization evaluation method of sacubitril and valsartan based on AHP-TOPSIS is feasible. The use of sacubitril and valsartan in the hospital is generally reasonable, but there are still some problems such as indications, usage and dosage, safety, and other aspects, which require further standardization of the rational drug use.
