Role of Clinical Pharmacists'Participation in Consultation in the Specification Management of Special-Use Grade Antibacterial Drugs
Objective To standardize the rational use of special-use grade antibacterial drugs.Methods The defined daily doses(DDDs),antibiotics use density(AUD),proportion of usage,sales amount,and detection rate of multiple drug-resistant bacteria before and after the implementation of consultation system for special-use grade antibacterial drugs were compared.Results After implementing the consultation system,the participation rate of clinical pharmacists in consultations for special-use grade antibacterial drugs was 80.28%,and the adoption rate of clinical physicians was 90.99%.Compared with those in 2021,the DDDs,AUD,proportion of usage,sales amount of special-use grade antibacterial drugs in 2022 significantly decreased(P<0.05).The detection rate of multiple drug-resistant bacteria has also been decreased,with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus showing the most significant decrease(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical pharmacist's participation in the consultation for special-use grade antibacterial drugs can promote the rational use of special-use grade antibacterial drugs and curb bacterial resistance.
