Efficacy of Simotang Oral Liquid Combined with Spinal Manipulation in the Treatment of Children with Functional Constipation of Food Accumulation and Internal Heat Type
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Simotang Oral Liquid combined with spinal manipulation in the treatment of children with functional constipation of food accumulation and internal heat type.Methods A total of 124 children with functional constipation of food accumulation and internal heat type admitted to the hospital from September 2022 to September 2023 were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,with 62 cases in each group.The children in the two groups received spinal manipulation therapy.On this basis,the children in the experimental group were treated with Simotang Oral Liquid,while the children in the control group were treated with Xiao'er Huashi Oral Liquid.Both groups were treated continuously for two weeks.Results The total clinical effective rate in the experimental group was 100.00％,which was significantly higher than 89.83％in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the improvement of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome symptoms such as poor appetite,burning upper abdomen,and restless night sleep in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group(P＜0.05),and the scores of the main and secondary traditional Chinese medicine syndromes in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The children in the two groups had no significant adverse reactions(P＞0.05).Conclusion Simotang Oral Liquid combined with spinal manipulation has a good clinical efficacy and safety in the treatment of children with functional constipation of food accumulation and internal heat type,which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of children.
