The Cognition of Children Acute Upper Respiratory Infection in Ancient Chinese Medical Books
Acute upper respiratory infection is a common and frequently-occurring disease.Different from adults,children are more prone to acute upper respiratory infection due to their special physiological characteristics,and often accompanying many mixed symp-toms.The systematic study of acute upper respiratory infection in children from the perspective of history and literature of traditional Chi-nese medicine,and explore the historical evolution of understanding of acute upper respiratory infection in children in ancient Chinese medical books,are conducive to the in-depth understanding and differential diagnosis of this disease.This study takes the longitudinal historical era as the order,through enumerating a large number of specific examples in ancient Chinese medical books,systematically reviews the records of ancient Chinese medical books in the past dynasties on the category of disease,etiology and pathogenesis,physiol-ogy and morbidity in children,as well as the combined syndrome of this disease,and analyzes and summarizes the characteristics accord-ingly.This study summarizes the understanding of the key features of this disease in ancient Chinese medical books at various historical stages,in order to provide sufficient theoretical basis and dialectical thinking for the correct understanding,identification and treatment of this disease in modern clinic.
