As one of the serious life-threatening diseases,cancer is the second leading cause of death in human beings.At present,the main methods of cancer treatment are surgery,chemotherapy and radiotherapy,all of which require the use of anti-tumor drugs,but tumor cells will become resistant to antitumor drugs,so that pharmacotherapy cannot reach the ideal effect.Drug resistance,as the main cause of failure of clinical chemotherapy,has been widely concerned.Therefore,this study reviewed the mechanisms of drug resistance of tumors,including tumor microenvironment,viral factors,cellular material transport,and drug metabolism enzymes,in order to pro-vide a reference for the development of anti-tumor drugs and the study of cancer drug resistance.It can be speculated that future treat-ment options for tumors will include the use of different types of drugs,targeting specific weaknesses in specific mechanisms of multidrug resistance,etc.It is necessary to further study the mechanism of cancer resistance and design new potential chemotherapy drugs.New drugs that reverse drug resistance in cancer cells will improve the efficiency of chemotherapy and provide opportunities for patients with tumors that are currently incurable.
