The function,size,layout and structure of public hospitals in China are researched,and interrelated data are collected,to objectively present the function,size,layout and structure of historical process and the status of China's public hospitals,and the suggestions are proposed,i.e.:the basic value orientation of health system should be defined,the distribution and structure of health resources be reasonably adjusted,the fairness and efficiency of health services be improved,and the government's macro-control and overall planning and regulatory capacity be strengthened.
