Status Analysis of Traditional Chinese Medicine Service in Beijing Area Psychiatric Hospital and Proposal
Objective To investigate the present situation of Traditional Chinese Medicine services in psychiatric hospitals in Beijing and to provide countermeasures for the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine in psychia-try.Methods It used a questionnaire survey of 15 randomly selected psychiatric hospitals using a sampling method of psychiatric specialist hospitals belonging in Beijing.Results Among the 15 psychiatric hospitals,10 psychiatric hospi-tals had Traditional Chinese Medicine departments,accounting for 67％,and 5 psychiatric hospitals did not have Traditional Chinese Medicine departments,accounting for 33％.There were relatively few personnel,unreasonable personnel structure,limited scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine service,and few service means.Conclusion The development of Traditional Chinese Medicine in psychiatric hospitals in Beijing is relatively backward,and it cannot meet the increasing demand of patients with mental illness for Traditional Chinese Medicine.The state and hospitals should give more policy support.
