Research on the impact of marine industrial agglomeration on marine environmental efficiency
Based on the panel data of 11 coastal regions in China from 2001 to 2020,this paper uses the Location Entropy and Super-SBM Model to measure the marine industrial agglomeration and marine environmental efficiency respectively,and constructs a two-way fixed effects model to investigate the impact of marine industrial agglomeration on marine environmental efficiency.The results show that:(1)Marine industrial agglomeration can significantly improve the efficiency of marine environment in coastal areas,and this conclusion will still valid after robustness test and endogenous treatment.(2)There are regional differences in the agglomeration effect of marine industry,marine industrial agglomeration has a more significant effect on the marine environmental efficiency in the eastern marine economic circle and areas with strong environmental awareness.(3)The agglomeration of marine industries can ultimately affect the marine environmental efficiency by improving marine technical innovation and marine human capital.
