An empirical analysis of the effect of fishery technology extension on fishermen's income:based on panel data from 30 provinces in China
This paper applies the panel data from 30 provinces(excluding Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and the Tibet Autonomous Region)in China from 2016 to 2021 to analyze the impact of fishery technology extension on fishermen's income.The results show that,firstly,fishery technology popularization has a significant promoting effect on fishermen's income.Secondly,fishery technology extension exerts influence on fishermen's income by promoting fishery development.Thirdly,fishery technology extension has a significant promoting effect on the income of fishermen in non-coastal areas,but has no significant effect on the income of fishermen in coastal areas.The effect of fishery technology extension on fishermen's income in central and western areas is more significant,but the effect on fishermen's income in eastern areas is not significant.The promotion effect of fishery technology extension on the income of low,middle and high income fishermen is relatively significant,and the influence degree expands with the increase of fishermen's income.Fourthly,fishery technology extension has a nonlinear effect on fishermen's income,but this effect will be significant only when it reaches a certain critical value.
