Based on the panel data of 11 coastal provinces and cities in China from 2010 to 2021,this paper comprehensively evaluates and analyzes the spatial and temporal characteristics of scientific and technological innovation and high-quality development of marine economy by using the Entropy weight and Coupling coordination relation.The results show that:(1)The Coupling coordination degree presents a trend of fluctuating growth,and the level of regional coupling coordination degree increases by one to three levels,but the overall level is low,and there is still a large room for improvement.(2)China's 11 coastal provinces show significant regional differences,with Guangdong Province always in the first position,while Hainan Province lags behind the most.(3)China's coastal provinces and cities are divided into northern coastal areas and southern coastal areas by region,and the coupling degree of southern coastal areas is higher than that of northern coastal areas.Therefore,it is necessary to increase investment in science and technology,strengthen environmental governance,optimize the structure of the marine industry,develop high value-added industries,and formulate measures that meet local development needs based on local conditions to achieve regional coordinated development.
