Development of fisheries in Inner Mongolia:basic Stages, bottleneck constrains, and path selection
The fisheries industry in Inner Mongolia holds significant importance as both a food industry and a coexisting industry with aquatic ecosystems. The fisheries in Inner Mongolia have gone through six stages of development:initial development(1949-1957),difficult development(1958-1965),tortuous development(1966-1977),rapid development(1978-2002),stable development(2003-2016),and high-quality development(2017-now),achieving substantial progress. In the new era,the fisheries industry in the entire region faces bottlenecks such as low seed production capacity, the need for diversified aquaculture species, the urgent optimization of industrial structure, and the necessity to strengthen technology promotion. This article proposes specific development paths, including improving seed production capacity, increasing the number of aquaculture species, optimizing the fisheries industry structure, and enhancing technology promotion.
