The mortality rate of ovarian cancer ranks second among female reproductive system tumors,and it is increasing year by year,becoming a major disease that threatens women's life safety and health. The main causes of death are recurrence and chemotherapy resistance. Therefore,there is a need to develop more effective and less toxic anti-chemotherapy-resistant drugs to combat the current treatment challenges of ovarian cancer. Compared to chemically synthesized drugs,traditional Chinese medicine monomers,as natural products,have the advantages of high safety,minimal side effects,and multiple target actions. This article,based on elucidating the mechanism of chemotherapy resistance in ovarian cancer,summarizes the main molecular mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine monomers in reversing chemotherapy resistance in ovarian cancer,aiming to provide new insights for clinical treatment.
